Well I started taking about my prior week. I had vacation days so me and the GF went up to Santa Barbara. Nice hotel by the beach. It was a Wednesday but we didn’t have a care in the world so we woke up, for breakfast and had a drink. Grabbed some craft beer, went to the beach and enjoyed the day, caught a buzz, took a nap, showered, had a couple of cocktails in the room, then dinner and some state street drinking. I went to UCSB so we went to my old hangouts.Now I’m not rich by any means but if I was just some poor piece of shit and got that drunk on a Wednesday I’d be looked at as garbage. I can only imagine how the super wealthy, or just someone that doesn’t have to work anymore, get through the day. I’d be on vacation and getting hammered at least 4 days a week.I’ve never really thought about this, but I guess it’s all about preconceived notions. If you’re wealthy and day drinking, the general perception from the outside is that your money matters are already taken care of and you don’t have anything to be directly responsible for at that particular moment.
