I agree that OP did well to couch that comment with some awareness that it’s a personal choice and that people in poverty shouldn’t just be told to not have .I’m Not Angry I’m From Texas Shirt BUT this sub has a reputation for attracting some pretty ugly attitudes about people in poverty having kids. It is first and foremost such an obvious point that those who don’t already understand the financial impact children have are unlikely to be convinced by a Reddit post. It becomes a bit of a throwaway comment, in the end.
